INTRODUCTION

Master Brian held the appointment of Chief Fitness Instructor (PTI) at Commando Hendon camp from year 2004 to 2011, overseeing all fitness training such as swimming, obstacle course and IPPT training. Due to his Martial Art background, Master Brian was also tasked to spearheaded the new generation of unarmed combat taught in Commando camp.

Master Brian received his Taekwondo 6th Dan Black Belt in Year 2022.

As an athlete, Master Brian was part of the National Taekwondo Team in both the Demonstration and Sparring component from year 1992 to 2000, during this period he attained numerous achievements in both local and international competitions; achieving 3rd Commonwealth Taekwondo Championships 1998 and was selected to compete in Hanmadang (Korea) Demonstration Competition 1996.

As a coach, Master Brian is the first Taekwondo Coach to represent Singapore for the 21st Summer Deaflympics Game in Taipei year 2008, for local achievement he have led Zen Academy to the Overall Champion Club Title in the National Taekwondo Sparring Championship Year 2013, Year 2018 and most recent in Year 2019, under his flag, Zen Academy have always been in the top 3 position since Year 2011 (Previously named as Zen Taekwondo).

Master Brian has also been bringing his competition team for overseas training since year 2013 to equip them with various enriching experience. They had the opportunity to attend training sessions from renowned coaches in Thailand as well as engage in friendly matches with Thailand State Players.

Outside Taekwondo, Master Brian holds a Level 4 Proficiency Pure Krav Maga Instructor certified by Mr Boaz Aviram whom is one of the pioneers in the most realistic hand-to-hand skill of Krav Maga practiced by the Israelis Defense Force.

He has 21 years of Taekwondo coaching experience and 12 years experiences in other forms of Martial Arts such as Pure Krav Maga, Karate, Wrestling, Jujitsu, Commando Unarmed Combat and Wing Chun. As a professional Coach, Master Brian is equipped with a certification in Wushu Sports Injury Therapy allowing him to provide sound advice to students in the event injury during competition/training.
